Our overarching principle is that there is value in hearing a diverse range of views and that this powers greater impact. We therefore encourage all voices to be shared in a safe, supportive, respectful manner, valuing each other’s ideas, experiences, and viewpoints. We may not always agree, but disagreement is never an excuse for rudeness and poor manners. When part of the Loop community, aim to be direct, constructive, and positive.
Always assume good intentions. Understand and recognise that people may be engaging through different means and that they may face different barriers such as not using their native language, coming from different cultures, living in a different time zone, facing other challenges to participate or being unfamiliar with social media etiquette.
The conversations we have set the tone for new members joining the Loop community. Help us influence the future of this community by choosing to engage in meaningful discussions that make this platform an interesting place to be and avoiding those that do not.
Please use the available tools to enable the community to collectively identify the best contributions: share with others, upvote comments, reply to feedback, flag to Loop any concerns or issues, share suggestions for improved translations. This will help the community get the most out of the platform.
To create a safe and respectful space to listen and engage, a moderator reviews all feedback and replies before they are posted on the open platform. If the community guidelines are not followed, the moderator may reject a post. If contact details are provided, the moderator will inform the author of the reason for rejection and may provide guidance on how the post can be corrected and successfully published.
Loop aims to encourage people to engage safely and inclusively to listen to more voices. Therefore, we will not post feedback or replies which contain abuse or harassment.
You may not engage in targeted harassment of someone or incite other people to do so. This includes wishing or hoping that someone experiences physical harm, insulting or belittling them. It also includes sexualized comments or jokes in interactions.
Loop can positively support data to inform improvements to service provision if more people from diverse backgrounds can participate to share, learn, and engage. We encourage new perspectives to be heard and listened to actively. Lead by example.
Posts that promote hateful conduct, violence, terrorism/violent extremism, exploitation or suicide/self-harm will not be posted.
Feedback or replies indicating a need for support due to suicidal thoughts or self-harm will not be published on the open platform. Such submissions will be treated as sensitive feedback, and a case manager will contact the user to provide support and identify any immediate needs or resources to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
Loop encourages people to speak in the first person about their own views and experiences, even if this is based on what someone else told them. This helps ensure that each post represents one experience and one person’s view to ensure fair representation of views and experiences.
Fake News is a term used to describe fictional news stories that are made up to support certain agendas. It is false information that has been created in a way that makes it look like a trustworthy news report.
Misinformation is incorrect or misleading information presented as fact, either intentionally or unintentionally.
Disinformation is information that is deliberately incorrect. Disinformation can include made-up information, like statistics or scientific opinions.
Tips for identifying fake news, misinformation and disinformation can be found here.
Loop aims to Do No Harm to individuals and organisations as a result of feedback posts or replies. Posts or replies will not be made public if doing so could place individuals or organisations at risk. If some feedback is sensitive it will not be posted on the open platform, rather it will be referred to the relevant focal point at the relevant organisation to take the appropriate action. Loop will contact the author to get consent and inform them of the process.
All posts must respect people’s right to privacy and confidentiality.
Private information: You may not publish or post other people's private information (such as home phone number and address) without their express authorization and permission.
If you feel that a feedback or reply has been posted that may breach any of the above standards or codes, you can request that we remove it. Please select the 3 dots at the top right corner of the piece of feedback, select “submit a request to remove” and fill out the form.

You can request to remove a feedback or a reply to the feedback in any of the languages on our platform. We will receive your request instantaneously and if you leave your email you will receive a reply within 48 hours.
In order to maintain our community, Loop reserves the right to remove any content and any user account for any reason at any time. Moderators preview all new posts; the Moderators, Country Leadership and the global specialists do as much as they can to keep our collective space safe; however we cannot take responsibility for any content posted by the community.
We have used The X and Mozilla Rules and Codes of Conduct to inform this document. We will improve and update it as we learn and grow.
