Wanjiru is a passionate advocate for social justice and good governance with a legal background and is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya. She currently heads up the Kilimani Project Foundation. The Foundation employs innovative and transformative methods to empower and inform its members, facilitating platforms for engagement amongst themselves and various stakeholders.
As a ShiftThePower fellow, Wanjiru is deeply committed to advancing the principles of co-creation and community-led development. Her work in this area focuses on decolonizing aid and promoting locally-led initiatives. Additionally, she serves as an advisory member for Bond UK, where she provides guidance on strategies to shift power in the development sector and support more equitable and sustainable approaches to global development.
