Bisharo Ali

Bisharo is a Protection, GBV, and Safeguarding Specialist with over eight years of experience in humanitarian settings, including complex emergencies in Somalia. She is committed to amplifying the voices of affected communities while ensuring equitable, confidential, and survivor-centered responses. Her expertise includes GBV, Child Protection, and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), with a focus on sensitive case management, quality assurance of protection systems, and community feedback mechanisms. Bisharo is skilled in leading and building the capacity of diverse teams to uphold the highest safeguarding and protection standards. She has worked with national and international organisations to strengthen trust and accountability within communities while fostering impactful, rights-based programming through collaborative partnerships with stakeholders. She is passionate about promoting dignity, inclusion, and accountability in all areas of her work. Bisharo holds an Advanced Postgraduate Degree in Public Health, alongside a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. She is fluent in Somali, English, Arabic, and Maay.
