Alex Ross is a seasoned Humanitarian and Development worker who has been working in the sector for over twenty years. She has lived in 15 countries, across all continents and has worked for a variety of Non-Government Organisations (NGOs), with local, national, regional and global responsibilities. She is a child psychologist by training, starting out in the field of child protection and increasingly in operational and management positions. All of this has taught Alex that good intentions are not enough to ‘do no harm’ and so, born out of operational frustrations and an optimism that change can happen, she left her role as Director of Programs and Partnership for the British Red Cross and established a Charity called Loop. Alex is a New Zealand and has two children. She speaks English and French .
