We are absolutely delighted to welcome Regina "Nanette" Salvador-Antequisa as the new member of the Governing Board of Loop.

Nanette been an activist humanitarian-development worker for about 30 years. She is the founding Executive Director of the Ecosystems Work for Essential Benefits, Inc. (Ecoweb), a national NGO in the Philippines working on the issues of poverty, conflict, environment, climate change and governance.

Nanette is a strong advocate of a community-led approach to make humanitarian and development more empowering, dignifying and responsive to the needs and rights of people.

‍She has served as convenor of the Community-led Empowering Action for Resilience Network in the Philippines, the sectoral representative of the Victims of Disaster and Calamities sector to the Philippines government’s National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) for the last 6 years, is a co-convenor of Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction Network, and is current chair of the Alliance of Empowering Partnerships (A4EP), a global alliance of southern Civil Society Organisations that is now the newest and 63rd signatory of the Grand Bargain.

‍Nanette serves as the convenor of the Loop Philippines National Coordinating Committee. She believes that technology should serve and address the needs of people making her excited to see Loop bridge the divide between people and grassroots communities with duty bearers and service providers.
