In February 2026, 967 pieces of open feedback were received. Most submissions were in Maxatiri (71%), and 71% were from women. Vulnerability factors were recorded in 67% of feedback, with 70% identifying as displaced due to conflict or drought. Communities reported severe drought and conflict impacts, including acute food and water shortages, displacement to urban areas, and lack of basic services during Ramadan. Primary requests focused on WASH (73%), food security (63%), livelihoods/general assistance (35%), environment/drought (22%), and shelter (20%). Only 5% of open feedback received organisational replies.
A total of 125 sensitive reports were submitted, primarily related to service-level concerns (53%), protection (35%), and fraud/corruption (12%). Lower Shabelle accounted for 30% of sensitive reports, followed by Banadir (22%) and Lower Juba (18%). In February, 95 cases were closed: 52% were successfully resolved, while 48% were closed due to survivors being unreachable, declining referral, or lack of services. Thirty-seven referrals were made with an 84% overall acknowledgement rate (87% for assistance-related referrals; 79% for allegation-related referrals).
Overall organisational response rate to referrals was 75%, with international NGOs showing the highest responsiveness (92% acknowledgment), followed by national NGOs (86%) and government entities (33%).
