Important digital conversations

Alex Ross of Loop with Loop logo

Talk To Loop was delighted to be able to participate in the 2023 United Nations OCHA Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week in May, with Loop founder Alex Ross taking part in an important panel discussion called Important digital conversations: Can the humanitarian sector deliver inclusive and dignified approaches to digital communication, participation and accountability?

This session emphasised the ways in which digital channels can have value and impact by enabling stronger participation of affected populations in humanitarian response while also keeping in mind the potential risks they bring.

The speakers were:

- Alex Ross, Managing Director, Talk To Loop

- Ana Carolina Tomé Pires, Digital Strategy & Planning Officer, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency

- fanman tsang, Director of Capacity Bridging and Technology, CDAC

- Margot Fortin, Accountability & Inclusion Research Manager, IMPACT Initiatives

- Facilitator was Matthew Downer, Senior Insights Manager, GSMA Foundation
