NaSAC, established on 29 February 2024, isa consortium of 26 civil society organizations committed to advancing transparency, accountability, and citizen participation in Ethiopia. Building on the legacy of the Ethiopia Social Accountability Program (ESAP), NaSAC works to empower civil society to hold government and aid providers accountable, promote inclusive participation, and strengthen democratic governance. Guided by its vision of citizens actively engaging in decision-making and accessing quality services, NaSAC fosters collaboration between communities and duty-bearers, supports feedback mechanisms, and promotes sustainable accountability practices.

 

We are now looking to recruit a person with NaSAC working to implement the Loop platform in Ethiopia.

 

Country: Ethiopia

Location: Based in Addis, with periodic travel to the Somali region

Job Type: full-time, 40 hours per week

Salary: USD 1,000 month (gross, inclusive of taxes)

Working Times/Zones: Office hours, 8am to 4:30pm (East Africa Time)

Travel Required: Occasional travel in the Horn of Africa

Language skills: Excellent written and spoken English, Somali (Maaxatiri) and Amharic are essential and Oromo preferable

Start Date: 1st October 2025

Eligibility: Open only to Ethiopian nationals who are based in Addis Ababa.

 

Management Responsibilities

Reports to:

●  Direct Line manager: NaSAC CEO for operational and administrative matters

●  Global Sensitive Feedback Lead for technical guidance and strategic oversight

●  Loop Lead

Direct reports: 1 - 5 Moderators

 

Working Relationships:

● NaSAC team as the host organisation with strong national knowledge and strategic insight.

● Global team including, Sensitive feedback Lead User Experience and Quality Assurance Lead, Tech Lead, Communication and Fundraising Lead.

● External stakeholders, including protection actors, fraud and safeguarding focal points, and relevant protection coordination mechanisms

 

Role Overview

Loop is recruiting a Country Sensitive Feedback Lead to oversee the safe and effective management of sensitive feedback in Ethiopia. Based at the NaSAC office in Addis Ababa, you will lead the Ethiopia Loop team and ensure cases related to gender-based violence, child protection, safeguarding, aid diversion, fraud, corruption, and sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) are handled promptly, confidentially, and in line with global protocols.

In this role, you will:

 

·  Provide technical oversight,coaching, and training to moderators.

·  Manage sensitive referralssafely and build strong partnerships with GBV, CP, safeguarding, and fraudfocal points.

·  Collaborate closely with theGlobal Sensitive Feedback Lead and protection actors.

·   Represent Loop in national coordination forums to support the successful set up and roll out across the country

·   and contribute to contextualising Loop to the Ethiopian context and suggesting improvements through data analysis and reporting.

 

Strategically, you will position Loop as a trusted and inclusive platform, ensuring that marginalised voices, including minorities, persons with disabilities, and survivors of SEA—are heard and responded to. You will also identify opportunities to expand Loop’s reach through local networks and protection partners as a collective Community Feedback Mechanism. This is a unique opportunity to strengthen community accountability, advocate for change through community-led evidence, and help shape more responsive and transparent humanitarian and development systems in Ethiopia.

 

Expected Tasks

 Team Management and Supervision

●  Lead day-to-day operations through ongoing support and guidance.

●  Manage your team well-being and HR function, including leave planning, staff rotations, etc.

●  Lead on recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new team members, ensuring smooth integration and role clarity

●  Facilitate regular performance reviews, provideconstructive feedback, and support professional development.

●  Support in coordination across other NaSAC staff in the development of the organization’s culture.

 

Feedback Management

● Review and triage sensitive feedback daily

● Coordinate referral processes in collaboration with the Global Sensitive Feedback Lead, ensuring misconduct cases(e.g., SEA, fraud, corruption) are escalated through the appropriate channels.

● Maintain oversight of open cases, track required actions, and ensure timely follow-up with referral organisations and focal points.

● Ensure all sensitive feedback is handled promptly and confidentially, in line with safeguarding protocols, including informed consent and confidentiality standards and maintaining quality controls.

● Moderate feedback and replies in Amharic, tag appropriate organisations and actors.

● Manage the resulting data and identify relevant trends in the analytics.

 

Training and Capacity Building

● Ensure comprehensive understanding of safeguarding principles, PSEA, child protection, GBV, and reporting protocols among sensitive feedback moderators.

● Integrate survivor-centered and do-no-harm approaches in all training and mentoring practices.

●  Provide tailored training to open feedback moderators.

 

Quality Assurance and Monitoring

● Ensure the quality, timeliness and respect of protocols in handling sensitive and non sensitive feedback.

● Monitor and report on key indicators such as response times, feedback provider satisfaction, and responsiveness of referral organisations.

 

External Engagement and Coordination

● Build and sustain collaborative relationships within-country protection actors, including GBV, child protection, safeguarding, and fraud focal points to support timely referrals.

● Represent Loop in inter-agency meetings, protection clusters and project-related meetings and partner meetings in Ethiopia.

 Provide onboarding training and introduction sessions to relevant organisations and communities in Ethiopia online and in person.

● Support in the development and improvement of resources to support training sessions and conversion of participants to users of the Loop platform

 

Technical and Communication Materials

● Work closely with the communications team and partner organisations to promote Loop as a safe and effective mechanism for reporting sensitive feedback, including among partners.

 

 Necessary Skills and Experience

● Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Social Work, Psychology, Gender Studies, Human Rights, International Development, or a related field.

● Languages: Fluent in English and Somali (Mandatory)Amharic, Oromia (added advantage)

● Priority will be given to candidates with fluency or an advanced level in any other spoken languages/dialects.

● Proficiency in digital tools, including Google Workspace, and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new case management or feedback platforms is required.

● Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the protection sector, with proven expertise in handling sensitive protection cases, including GBV, child protection, and other protection cases. Experience should include serving in a senior or supervisory role with responsibilities for case management, referrals, and coordination with protection actors.

● Demonstrated understanding of protection principles, GBV, child protection, safeguarding and SEA, as well as referral principles and protocols.

● Demonstrated ability to manage and support teams, including experience in HR oversight, capacity building, and performance management.

● Proven experience in external coordination, including participation in inter-agency mechanisms and liaison with focal points across protection sectors in Somalia.

● Established network of protection partners in Ethiopia, with demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships.

● Good understanding of feedback and complaint mechanisms and referral pathways is highly preferred.
